Amtec Inc. is seeking a skilled Product Assembler Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling products according to specifications, drawings, and work instructions.
About the JobThis position involves working within the Controls area to assemble products per specs, drawings, and work instructions. You will be setting up and running wire marking machines, positioning parts to be assembled, and soldering/welding parts to assemble final units.
Responsibilities- Assemble connectors per blue prints and verify process.
- Setup and run wire marking machines per blue prints and verify quality.
- Position parts to be assembled by following blue prints and Standard Work Instructions.
- Work at station as member of assembly group assembling one or more specific parts to meet production requirements.
- Position parts in specific opening and screws or bolts them in place.
- Solder/Weld parts by following schematic, blueprint, and Standard Work Instructions to assemble final unit.
- Verify correct assembly of final unit.
- Ability to test unit with related test fixture.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing/assembly role.
- Soldering/Welding skills.
- High School diploma or GED.
- Must be able to read blue prints and/or schematic reading.
- Finger dexterity.
- Hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to verify function of unit per final blueprint.
- Effective communication skills in English with the ability to read, speak, and understand English.
The job requires standing/walking occasionally (12% - 33%) and frequently (34% - 66%). The employee must be able to hear well enough to communicate with coworkers and have finger dexterity to perform tasks.
Working ConditionsThe work is conducted in a well-lighted, temperature-controlled environment. Work area may have several other workstations with other assemblers assembling products.
CompensationThe estimated salary range for this position is $41,600 - $47,840 yearly; $20-$23/hr based on industry standards and location. Amtec Inc. offers competitive compensation and benefits packages to its employees.
