Principal Engineer, Bearings and Seals Module Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Engineer to lead our Bearings and Seals Module team at Beehive Industries. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and analyzing bearings, seals, and sumps in gas turbine engines, ensuring the highest level of quality and performance.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement design and analysis methodologies for bearings, seals, and sumps using industry-leading tools and software.
- Lead finite element analysis and apply knowledge using ANSYS Workbench and associated tools, including static, dynamic vibration, shock, plasticity, interference, thermal, contact, and fatigue analysis.
- Execute design, analysis, and evaluation of turbomachinery components and assemblies using sound engineering principles, meeting industry standards and program requirements.
- Lead engine system or component test programs from a hardware design and overall system perspective, conducting operational testing and developing test plans, including instrumentation, data acquisition, and signal processing.
- Provide presentations and recommendations based on test results, serving as the mechanical system design subject matter expert as part of a diverse system design team.
- Ensure products and sub-systems meet overall requirements from a design perspective, leading design reviews and coordinating with other disciplines in design, performance, and secondary systems, stress and life, additive manufacturing, materials, and system analysis.
- Provide timely communications on significant issues or developments, participating in the research and development of technologies and methodologies associated with additive design, and advising on ways to improve product design through the exploitation of additive manufacturing.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college.
- At least 12 years of experience in gas turbine component design.
- Strong understanding of design software tools (CAD, ANSYS, etc.).
