Pediatric Hospitalist Job Description

We are seeking two full-time qualified physicians to join our Division of Pediatric Hospital Medicine. The primary locations of this role include the Pediatric Acute Care Center, a new hybrid model at Northwest Community Hospital, and Evanston Hospital.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and consult on pediatric patients arriving in the Emergency Department
  • Provide active management for pediatric patients requiring observation up to 48 hours
  • Provide educational supervision to house-staff, students, paramedics, and EMT's on duty or on rotation in the Emergency Department
  • Attend all Pediatric Code Blues
  • Assist the neonatologist as needed in attending deliveries
Requirements:
  • U.S. accredited Pediatric Residency Program
  • IL Medical License or License Pending
  • Board certified or board prepared in Pediatrics (American Board of Pediatrics)
  • Newborn Nursery Experience, ED or Immediate Care Experience (preferred)
