Job Summary

SAIC is seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Architecture Engineer to support the modernization of space launch ranges. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in architecture engineering and experience working with complex systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define System Architecture: Develop and maintain system-level architecture, incremental solution capabilities, and key interfaces of the system, considering design, technology maturity, cost, and schedule constraints.
  • Write Technical Requirements: Author technical system requirements derived from market, stakeholders, and customer requirements, working across multiple directorates and offices to identify and define future space capabilities.
  • Author Technical Documents: Create interface control documents, system descriptions, whitepapers, and other key technical documents for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support Strategic Roadmaps: Contribute to defining strategic roadmaps for future technology investigations and capability assessments, advising the government on new technologies, trade studies, analysis of alternatives, and technology assessments.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline (Electrical, Software, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering) or equivalent technical discipline.
  • Experience: Proven experience with architecture frameworks (DoDAF), proficient with MBSE tools and procedures, and working knowledge of systems engineering documentation.
Desired Qualifications
  • Advanced Degree: Advanced degree in STEM or related discipline with emphasis on MBSE and Systems Design.
  • MBSE Experience: Experience in DOORS, JIRA, No Magic's Cameo, and modeling frameworks (UAF).
Clearance
  • Security Clearance: Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active Secret Clearance.
