Position Overview:
As a Cyber Security Systems Engineer I, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding our organization's information and technology assets. This position requires a solid foundation in cybersecurity principles and practices, along with the ability to adapt to evolving threats.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of DFARS safeguarding protocols for unclassified controlled technical information.
  • Engage with network infrastructure components, including firewalls, proxies, routers, switches, and IDS/IPS systems.
  • Utilize scripting skills to enhance security measures and automate processes.
  • Contribute to incident response efforts, ensuring timely and effective resolution of security incidents.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and scanning to identify potential security weaknesses.
  • Analyze network traffic, including an understanding of ports, protocols, and services.
  • Maintain familiarity with TCP/IP networking, DNS, and Active Directory systems.
  • Be prepared to obtain necessary security clearances as dictated by contractual obligations.

Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in cybersecurity operations.
  • Possession of an IAT Level II Certification is required.
