Grain Handling Specialist

This role is responsible for the efficient operation of grain handling equipment, ensuring safe and sanitary working conditions. The successful candidate will assist in loading, unloading, and transferring grain and products, while maintaining equipment and facilities.
Responsibilities- Operate and monitor grain handling equipment, including grain dryers, bin sweeps, and locomotives.
- Perform housekeeping and cleaning duties to maintain a safe working environment.
- Assist with equipment maintenance and repair to minimize downtime.
- Record all applicable documentation accurately and efficiently.
- Perform grain receiving, weighing, and grading duties, as well as assisting with truck and rail unloading/loading.
- 2-4 years of related experience preferred.
- Basic written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a safety-conscious environment.
- Ability to work in a highly quality-controlled environment.
- Agricultural experience preferred.
This role involves working varied hours, including 60+ per week during harvest season and 40-50 per week during non-harvest season.
Physical Requirements- Walking on catwalks at various heights.
- Climbing stairs and ladders.
- Lifting up to 75 lbs.
- Bending, stooping, and shoveling product.
- Entering and working in confined spaces.
- Working at heights up to 200 ft. with proper safety equipment.
- Working outdoors in diverse climate conditions.
