The Alaka'ina Foundation Family of Companies is seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Generalist to join our team. As a key member of our HR Department, you will provide critical support to our managers and employees, ensuring a seamless and efficient employee experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Onboard and offboard employees, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all necessary tasks, including benefits, training, and system access.
  • Respond promptly to employee inquiries, providing accurate and professional support on a range of HR-related topics, including performance reviews, attendance, and leave tracking.
  • Process and maintain employee documents, including data entry and record-keeping, to ensure accurate and up-to-date HRIS records.
  • Enroll, cancel, and assist with employee actions related to benefits, life events, and COBRA.
  • Present New Employee Orientation and facilitate employee onboarding.
  • Process paperwork associated with company programs, including employee development reimbursement and employee referral programs.
  • Maintain HR reporting, including Service Contract Act (SCA) and HRIS modifications, and generate reports as needed.
  • Conduct compliance quality checks, including I-9s and Restricted Parties.
  • Assist with setup and administration of annual Open Enrollment, resolving plan-level benefit questions and issues.
  • Support employee morale and company events.

Requirements:

  • Associate degree in Human Resources or related field required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Three or more years of related experience.
  • PHR or other professional certifications preferred.
  • Strong command of Excel and Word.
  • Professional, clear, and accurate communication skills.
  • Timely responses to employee inquiries.
  • Organization, prioritization, and follow-through essential for success in this role.
  • Ability to travel up to 5% without restriction.
