Safety Officer

Union County, NC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety Officer to join our team. As a Safety Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for all employees, as well as developing and implementing safety programs to prevent accidents and injuries.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement safety programs to prevent accidents and injuries
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards
- Provide training and education to employees on safety procedures and protocols
- Investigate accidents and incidents to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards
- Associate's degree in Safety, Risk Management, Communications, Business, or Public Administration
- Four years of experience in safety training, audit education, and instruction, auto crash investigations, or related work
- Smith System Driver Training certification
- First Aid certification
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Master's degree in Safety, Risk Management, Communications, Business, or Public Administration
- Five years of experience in safety training, audit education, and instruction, auto crash investigations, or related work
- Manager of Environmental Safety and Health (MESH) Certification
- Certified Safety Manager (CSM)
- Master Safety Professional (MSP)
- Safety Professional Certificate (SPC)
