About the Role

Universal Health Services (UHS) is seeking a dynamic and talented Mobile Crisis Assessor to join our team in Phoenix. As a Mobile Crisis Assessor, you will provide mental health assessments for contracted referral sources, including emergency rooms and hospitals, and recommend the appropriate level of treatment.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct individualized mental health assessments and provide treatment recommendations to patients, family members, and ER/hospital teams.
  • Provide crisis intervention as necessary.
  • Facilitate transfer of patients to inpatient facilities if necessary.
  • Assist with ER/hospital commitment procedures if appropriate.
  • Document services provided, including disposition of each patient assessed.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Behavioral Health, or a related field.
  • Current license in the State of Arizona as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC-A), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), or Associate Professional Counselor (APC).
  • Current CPR, if required by a customer hospital.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Completion of an appropriate internship, including provision of individual, group, or family therapy/counseling.
  • Experience providing individual, group, and family therapy/counseling.
  • Mobile assessment experience preferred.
