Commercial Loan Operations Team Lead

Role Overview:
As the Team Lead for Loan Operations, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the coordination, processing, and execution of loan closings for various products, including municipal, nonprofit, and affordable housing direct loans and bonds, as well as letters of credit to support publicly issued bonds. This position serves as a crucial link between relationship managers, loan servicing teams, and external legal advisors. Furthermore, you will manage operational responsibilities post-closing, which includes generating invoices, tracking monthly activities, reconciling construction draw requests, and initiating account transfers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct the daily workflow and ensure the precise processing of loan and bond packages efficiently. Maintain established deadlines while identifying and expediting work assignments as necessary. Communicate daily workflow updates and escalate quality or productivity issues to Relationship Managers or Loan Administration.
- Investigate, analyze, and resolve escalated issues, ensuring clarity and direction, while demonstrating follow-through with both external financing teams and internal members.
- Facilitate internal and external legal reviews.
- Verify the accuracy of boarding details after closing.
- Execute additional post-closing operational tasks related to loans.
- A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, with a minimum of eight years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Familiarity with bond financing documentation.
- Experience in Loan Administration, Lending, Deposit Sales, or related financial services.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of general lending operations, loan administration, treasury management, and other commercial banking products and services.
- Understanding of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, industry standards, and practices.
- Proficient knowledge of various complex loan types.
- Able to multitask effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining high standards of client service.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for diverse audiences.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage and coordinate various closing tasks for smooth execution.
- Previous leadership experience is preferred.
The salary range for new hires is generally between $114,000 and $141,287. Salary amounts are determined by specific job location. Additionally, the role may be eligible for annual bonuses and restricted stock options.
