Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Instructional Support Specialist to join our team at Twin Rivers Unified School District. As a key member of our instructional support staff, you will provide critical support to teachers in special education classroom settings, enhancing the learning experience for students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide instructional support to teachers in special education classrooms, assisting individuals or small groups of students to enhance learning.
  • Assist teachers with instruction and classroom management in special education and general education classrooms and play field environments.
  • Support teachers in developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs).
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Communicate effectively with teachers, students, and parents to ensure seamless support and services.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of at least 48 college credit units may substitute for the competency assessment.
  • Successful completion of a competency assessment demonstrating knowledge and ability to assist in instructing reading, writing, and mathematics.
  • May require a valid driver's license and compliance with District skill/competency requirements.
  • First Aid/CPR certification may be required.
