Orthopedic Nurse

Corewell Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Orthopedic Nurse to join our team at Butterworth Hospital. As a member of our 2 South unit, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of patients, including those with orthopedic trauma, ortho oncology, hip and spine fractures, and spine surgery. Our team is committed to providing exceptional care and support to our patients, and we are looking for someone who shares our passion for delivering high-quality patient care.
About the UnitOur 2 South unit is a 41-bed Orthopedic/Progressive care unit at Butterworth Hospital. We care for medical patients as well as some surgical patients, and our team is dedicated to providing individualized care to each patient. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of diagnoses, including COPD, pneumonia, sepsis, congestive heart failure, respiratory failure, cardiac drips, and bi-pap. We are committed to teamwork and rely on each other to get through shifts and keep our staff united.

Scope of WorkAs an Orthopedic Nurse at Butterwell Health, you will be responsible for delivering nursing care responsibly and accountably as described professionally by the American Nurses Association (ANA) and legally by the State of Michigan. You will demonstrate competency through the critical thinking model known as the nursing process, which includes assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. You will uphold the standards of professional performance as described by the ANA, including ethical practice, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice, and research.

QualificationsTo be considered for this opportunity, you must have an Associate's degree in Nursing, a Bachelor's degree in Nursing within 5 years, and be a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Michigan. You must also have AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days.
