Toddler Program Assistant

The successful candidate will have experience observing children and a background knowledge of the Montessori method. As a Montessori Teaching Assistant, you will contribute to creating a supportive environment that encourages exploration, independence, and social development. Your role will involve leading groups, assisting with snack preparation, engaging in conversations, and using positive discipline techniques to promote self-discipline and resolution skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement lesson plans tailored to meet the needs of each child.
- Establish a safe and nurturing environment that promotes physical, emotional, and cognitive growth.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistency in teaching methods and philosophies.
- Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers regarding their child's progress and well-being.
Requirements:
- At least 1 year of experience working with infant/toddlers (ages 18 months and up).
- Able to stand for prolonged periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Strong communication skills.
- Flexible, reliable, and punctual.
Salary: $21.00 per hour.
