Job Responsibilities

The Physical Therapy Technician will be responsible for:

  • Preparing patients for physical therapy sessions, ensuring a welcoming and comforting environment
  • Providing excellent customer service skills
  • Following the plan of care established by the therapist
  • Assisting therapists with non-clinical tasks and supporting patient success in therapy
  • Educating patients on proper equipment use
  • Assisting patients with light exercises and strengthening techniques
  • Maintaining effective communication with patients, physicians, and other staff members
  • Developing and maintaining a pleasant and professional relationship with patients
  • Ensuring treatment areas are clean and organized
  • Complying with all procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Maintaining productivity and recording progress for therapists
