Job Summary
At the Spine and Joint Institute of Milwaukee, we are seeking a skilled Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our physical therapy staff, you will assist licensed physical therapists in providing high-quality patient care and treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities
• Administer traction to relieve neck and back pain
• Instruct and motivate patients to learn and improve functional activities
• Observe patients during treatments and compile data on patient responses to treatments and progress
• Fit patients for, adjust, and train patients in use and care of orthopedic braces, prostheses, and supportive devices
• Confer with physical therapy staff and other health team members to exchange and discuss patient information for planning and modifying treatment programs
• Perform clerical duties such as taking inventory, ordering supplies, and answering telephone calls

Requirements
• Assist licensed physical therapists in providing physical therapy treatments and procedures
• Measure patient's range-of-joint motion, length and girth of body parts, and vital signs to determine effects of specific treatments
• Monitor treatments administered by physical therapy aides
