The Retail Supervisor plays a crucial role in enhancing the retail experience at Southall, which encompasses the Boutique, Farm Stand, and Spa Retail. Candidates with experience in online sales platforms and purchasing will be highly regarded. The ideal applicant will possess a strong background in retail, demonstrate leadership capabilities, remain composed under pressure, work autonomously, show initiative, communicate effectively, learn quickly, pay attention to detail, and excel in customer service and sales.

Key Leadership Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the training, support, and supervision of retail staff.
  • Contribute to the creation of Standard Operating Procedures for the retail operations.
  • Stay informed about current trends and practices across all retail programs.
  • Support corporate gifting initiatives and ensure accurate billing for groups.
  • Lead daily meetings in the absence of the Retail Manager, ensuring clear communication with retail staff.
  • Monitor and evaluate retail staff performance to ensure standards are met.
  • Manage inventory for gift wrapping and basket assembly.
  • Availability to work weekends and flexible hours is essential.
  • Assist in the development of online sales strategies.
  • Facilitate communication with other departments.
  • Help oversee staff schedules.
  • Adaptability to meet the evolving needs of the business is required.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years in a retail supervisory role.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Self-driven with a positive outlook.
  • Customer-oriented with excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Flexibility in a collaborative retail environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in inventory management and merchandising with keen attention to detail.
  • Willingness to work during holidays, evenings, and weekends as needed.
  • Physical capability to lift and carry items up to 30 pounds.

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent higher education is preferred.
