Carnival Corporation & plc is seeking a highly experienced and skilled VP Maritime Assurance and Advisory Services to join our team. As a key member of our Risk Advisory & Assurance Services team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety, security, and environmental sustainability of our maritime operations.
Key Responsibilities- Audit and Advisory Activities
- Lead a team of internal auditors to conduct audits and provide assurance on the effectiveness of our maritime safety management systems.
- Develop and implement an annual audit plan to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Oversee the implementation of management action plans to address audit findings and improve operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with senior executives and brand presidents to ensure effective communication and coordination of audit activities.
- Reporting and Communication
- Provide regular reports to the Chief Audit Officer and Board of Directors on audit results, trends, and recommendations.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with senior executives, brand presidents, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
- Qualifications and Requirements
- Master's degree in a maritime-related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 10+ years of experience in maritime assurance, advisory, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of maritime regulations, industry best practices, and risk management principles.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Travel and Work Conditions
- Travel less than 25% of the time, with occasional shipboard travel.
- Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.
Carnival Corporation & plc offers a competitive salary range of $200,000 - $240,000, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including an annual cash bonus program and discretionary equity incentive plan.
