We seek an individual with experience in specialty retail to take on the role of Assistant Store Manager. This position emphasizes exceptional customer service, product knowledge, and visual merchandising, while also requiring a proactive approach to problem-solving and a business-oriented mindset to support the Boutique Team Leader. You will collaborate with the Boutique Team Leader to cultivate and maintain a high-performing, diverse team. Your leadership will inspire the team to deliver outstanding customer experiences and drive sales through effective coaching.

Key Leadership Responsibilities:

  • Achieve business objectives by optimizing daily sales strategies, managing expenses, and enhancing performance metrics through effective sales floor leadership and ongoing training.
  • Organize, assign, and monitor tasks to ensure all expectations are met.
  • Provide constructive feedback that empowers and motivates team members.
  • Serve as a communication bridge between the Boutique Team, Field, and corporate partners.

People and Talent Development:

  • Attract, recruit, and retain team members who prioritize customer satisfaction and sales performance.
  • Guide, develop, and mentor team members to help them reach their full potential.
  • Prepare associates for increased responsibilities using company resources.
  • Assess and address performance challenges fairly and consistently, adhering to established guidelines.
  • Foster open, honest, and trusting relationships with team members.
  • Demonstrate high personal integrity and inspire others to do the same.

Enhancing Guest Experience:

  • Lead by example to meet our guest engagement standards.
  • Encourage a proactive selling culture that empowers a confident sales team.
  • Train and guide the team to engage with all guests while managing operational responsibilities.

Visual Merchandising Excellence:

  • Maintain an inspiring boutique environment that captivates guests.
  • Develop skills in visual decision-making and effectively communicate our brand identity.
  • Implement and uphold our visual brand standards to showcase our unique product offerings.
  • Exhibit enthusiasm for the fashion trends available in the boutique.

Operational Knowledge:

  • Administer all company policies and procedures fairly and consistently.
  • Assist in scheduling team members to ensure high service levels and maximize sales.
  • Oversee boutique opening and closing procedures.
  • Manage bank deposits and secure boutique operations.
  • Safeguard the boutique's physical assets through regular audits and annual inventory checks.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to navigate the sales floor and stockroom effectively, including repetitive bending, prolonged standing, twisting, stooping, squatting, and climbing.
  • Capable of working independently.
  • Able to lift and carry items weighing up to 35 lbs.
