Position Summary:

The Safety Coordinator plays a vital role in providing administrative and clerical support to the Field Risk Management Department. Responsibilities include organizing safety training sessions, maintaining departmental records, scheduling meetings, and assisting in the compilation of safety reports, tracking safety metrics, and conducting incident investigations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organize and coordinate administrative tasks and facilitate information flow.
  • Act as a liaison between the department and internal & external stakeholders.
  • Manage phone inquiries and direct callers to the appropriate resources.
  • Oversee the Field Risk Department's safety email, identify issues for follow-up, and ensure timely resolution.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office tools to create communications, reports, charts, and other necessary documents.
  • Maintain OSHA Logs for the organization.
  • Manage third-party procurement platforms such as ISNetworld, DISA, Veriforce, Avetta, and Appruv.
  • Prepare agendas and minutes for committees involving the Corporate Safety Manager and Director of Field Risk.
  • Provide confidential support regarding company incidents and accidents.
  • Create and maintain databases for tracking Field Risk Management trends and objectives.
  • Ensure up-to-date information is available on the company intranet (Summit 360) relevant to the Field Risk Management department.
  • Document effective minutes during technical and business committee meetings.
  • Draft interdepartmental memos, letters, reports, and other documentation.
  • Support internal training initiatives.
  • Proactively anticipate workload and project needs.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

The qualifications outlined below represent the essential elements required to perform this role successfully; however, an equivalent combination of education, training, certifications, and experience may also meet the job requirements.

Education and Certifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Experience and Skills:

  • General knowledge of OSHA regulations is preferred.
  • Strong project management abilities with excellent prioritization skills.

Communication Skills:

  • Ability to effectively read, write, and communicate in English with colleagues and clients.

Technical Skills:

  • Experience with Oracle products is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with system integrations is highly desirable.

Additional Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record is required.
  • Compliance with drug and alcohol policies and background screening requirements is mandatory.
  • Occasional travel may be necessary in response to security concerns.
