Job Summary

We're seeking a highly skilled Staff Risk Management Engineer to join our Electrophysiology division in St. Paul, MN. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective performance of our medical devices.

You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate risks, develop safety cases, and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements. Your expertise will help us advance the treatment of heart disease and improve patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement risk management strategies to ensure product safety and effectiveness
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate risks
  • Develop and maintain safety cases for medical devices
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements, including FDA, GMP, EU MDR, and ISO 13485
  • Work with systems and clinical engineering teams to ensure product reliability and performance
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design history files and risk management files
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technical Field
  • 8+ years of experience in Medical Device and/or Engineering
  • 4+ years of experience in Risk Management and/or Safety Engineering
  • 4+ years of experience in Systems Engineering
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior medical device experience
  • Advanced degree in related engineering field
  • Working understanding of FDA, GMP, EU MDR, and ISO 13485
  • Working understanding of ISO 14971, ISO/TR 24971, IEC 60601, IEC 62304, IEC 62366, ISO 14155, ISO 10993, and SW96
