Professor of Experiential Legal Education

Mitchell Hamline School of Law, recognized for its innovative teaching methods and commitment to broadening access to exceptional legal education, invites applications for a faculty position at the tenure-track or tenured level. We are particularly keen on candidates who are enthusiastic about instructing in our clinics, externships, or other practical skills courses.

Our institution boasts a comprehensive skills curriculum that includes mandatory simulation courses in advocacy and problem-solving, alongside a nationally acclaimed clinic program that supports students through various learning modalities.

We are seeking candidates who can:
  • Enhance and uphold our national reputation within the clinic, externship, and skills education community.
  • Contribute to the redesign of our introductory and advanced skills programs in alignment with evolving bar examination standards and alternative licensing pathways.
  • Engage with our existing initiatives, such as the Center for Law and Business, the Dispute Resolution Institute, the Health Law Institute, the Institute to Transform Child Protection, the Intellectual Property Institute, and the Native American Law and Sovereignty Institute.
Applicants must possess a J.D. or an equivalent foreign degree.
