Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Repair Worker to join our team at Knox County, OH. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining the overall appearance and functionality of our facilities, including lawn care and landscaping, basic building repairs, general maintenance of lawn equipment, and custodial duties in restrooms, lobbies, and common customer areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain the overall appearance and functionality of our facilities, including lawn care and landscaping, basic building repairs, and custodial duties.
  • Perform unskilled and semi-skilled maintenance to buildings and grounds, including changing light ballasts and bulbs, repair drywall, painting, basic plumbing, carpentry, and landscaping.
  • Operate and maneuver a truck or van and 20' trailer, and perform snow/ice removal in parking lots, driveways, and sidewalks.
  • Provide custodial duties, including sweeping, mopping, floor stripping/waxing, removing trash, stocking supplies, cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, lobbies, and other common areas.
  • Read and follow written and verbal instructions, and communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two years of experience in a position similar to maintenance/building repair or custodial work.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team, and get along with others.
  • Basic computer skills and operation of a county-provided cell phone.
  • Knowledge and adherence to safety policies and practices.
