Job Summary

This position is responsible for providing comprehensive nursing services that promote the health and well-being of residents in Marion County. The Public Health Nurse will work with individuals and families to assess, counsel, and provide preventive and therapeutic services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer vaccines and provide TB skin tests
  • Conduct blood pressure screenings and other health assessments
  • Work with diverse populations and provide continuity of care
  • Represent the Marion County Public Health Department in a professional manner
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing from a NLN accredited college
  • 1 or more years of previous nursing experience - preferred
  • Computer skills including typing skills of a minimum of 30 words per minute
  • Current Indiana RN license
  • CPR certified
Working Environment

This position requires a valid Indiana Driver's license and access to a personal vehicle. The employee may be exposed to substandard and unsanitary living conditions, allergens, and communicable diseases.
