We are seeking a highly skilled Radiation Therapist to join our team at California Protons Cancer Therapy Center. As a Radiation Therapist, you will play a critical role in administering therapeutic doses of ionizing radiation to patients with cancer.
Key Responsibilities- Administer therapeutic doses of ionizing radiation to patients with cancer
- Use advanced proton accelerator treatment units to deliver precise and effective treatments
- Record and verify treatment software to ensure accurate and safe treatment delivery
- Simulate patients in accordance with prescription and instruction of radiation oncologists
- Perform routine, complex, and specialized work, including integration and administration of new technology
- Contribute to the efficient operation of the department and participate in quality assurance activities
- ARRT certification required
- Aria experience preferred but not required
- BA preferred
- Physical strength to assist or lift impaired patients from a wheelchair or stretcher
- Physical strength to lift accessories weighing up to 40 pounds and physical reach to work with equipment as high as 5-6 feet above the floor
- Ability to adapt quickly to change and demonstrate ability to analyze and solve complex problems efficiently
