Cash Applications Manager

At TerrAscend, we're committed to delivering exceptional cannabis therapies and products to our patients and customers. As a Cash Applications Manager, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and record daily bank account activities, including cash, debit card, and other deposits.
  • Reconcile all activities to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Coordinate with front-line staff to place change/coin orders and monitor fulfillment.
  • Assist with royalty accruals and tax calculations, including gross receipts tax, use and sales tax, and business privilege taxes.
  • Participate in the Month-End Close process for multiple entities and prepare/review journal entries and accruals.
  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of all assigned accounts, databases, and files.
  • Collaborate with the accounting team and other internal departments to design, document, implement, and monitor processes that establish controls, ownership, and accountability of involved parties related to inventory management.
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis and projects as requested and respond timely to inquiries from external and internal customers.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree with a concentration in business or accounting.
  • 2-4 years of progressive accounting experience, with public accounting experience and corporate accounting experience preferred.
  • Manufacturing and/or retail experience preferred.
  • Intermediate knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
  • Experience or exposure to all areas of accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash/revenue, fixed assets, accruals, reserves, inventory valuation, and intercompany eliminations.
  • Understanding of the principles of inventory manufacturing processes, retail sales processes, sales and use tax, and public company audit compliance.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency in the overall Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Self-starter with an emphasis on accuracy, completeness, and work product ownership, with the ability to prioritize and complete tasks with competing deadlines.
  • Professional written and verbal communication with multiple levels and departments.
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and honest.
