The Naval Nuclear Laboratory is seeking a highly skilled Chemical Engineer or Chemist to join our Reactor Plant Chemistry group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for resolving reactor plant chemistry and cleanliness issues, working with a multi-disciplined team to test and implement chemistry analysis methods and equipment, and supporting deployed analysis systems.
Key Responsibilities- Resolve reactor plant chemistry and cleanliness issues
- Work with a multi-disciplined team to test and implement chemistry analysis methods and equipment
- Support deployed analysis systems by designing tests, qualifying next-generation hardware, writing and maintaining procedures, responding to emergent fleet requests for technical assistance, and evaluating system data
- Coordinate and manage all aspects of small and large projects which require interfacing with various NNL organizations and external organizations
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field; or Master's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field
- Knowledge of nuclear power plant systems
- Analytical chemistry, or inorganic chemistry coursework and laboratory experience
- Experience with data processing software and data analysis
