Job Overview

Howard Stein Hudson is seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil Engineer to join our team. As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for leading public infrastructure roadway projects from concept to construction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop design plans, technical specifications, and cost estimates for public bidding
  • Provide support and guidance for junior staff, client and sub-consultant management and coordination
  • Track project budgets and delegate work tasks to supporting staff
  • Collect and analyze survey data, land rights, and regulatory permitting information
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
  • 8+ years of progressive responsibility in Civil Engineering
  • High level of proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Project management experience required
  • P.E. license preferred
  • Experience with MassDOT and City of Boston standards and deliverables a plus
  • Direct supervisory experience a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Critical thinking, judgment, and problem-solving skills
