REGISTERED NURSE - CHILD INPATIENT SERVICES
As one of Tampa's premier facilities for behavioral and mental health since 1949, Gracepoint is currently seeking compassionate Registered Nurses for our children's emergency services and crisis stabilization program. This initiative is tailored to provide essential triage and therapeutic care for youths facing behavioral, mental, and substance abuse challenges, specifically for ages 4-17.
- Additional 20% Shift differential for Evening and Overnight shifts

POSITION SUMMARY
The Registered Nurse provides direct nursing care to patients experiencing behavioral health disorders, grounded in a systematic body of knowledge. This role includes overseeing care delivered by Licensed Practical Nurses and Behavioral Health Technicians. The nursing process is utilized, encompassing assessment, identification of nursing issues, planning, execution, evaluation, and modification of nursing interventions based on patient outcomes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assess the physiological, psychosocial, and environmental needs of patients.
- Implement care plans adhering to nursing standards and practices.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of nursing interventions outlined in the care plan.
- Ensure accurate and thorough documentation by Behavioral Health Technicians and Licensed Practical Nurses.
- Exhibit proficiency in critical thinking and decision-making abilities.
- Supervise staff and maintain continuous workflow within the unit.
- Share professional and technical expertise in accordance with established policies and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Diploma, Associate, or Bachelor's Degree from an NLN-accredited program
- A minimum of one year of experience in psychiatric mental and/or behavioral patient care.
- Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the State of Florida.
- Ability to effectively communicate information and respond to inquiries from managers, patients, families, employees, and the general public.
