Job Title: Field Technician

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Field Technician to join our Geospatial Division in Tampa, FL. As a Field Technician, you will be responsible for performing various tasks related to subsurface utility engineering, including operating vacuum excavation equipment, performing accurate measurements, and providing underground utility flagging designation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate truck and/or trailer mounted air-vacuum excavation systems
  • Perform accurate measurements using various methods, including laser calipers, cloth and steel tapes, EDM's, etc.
  • Provide underground utility flagging designation using geophysical methods
  • Designate all utility line types, including water, sewer, gas, electric, fiber optic, PVC, and other underground facilities
  • Assist with maintenance of vehicle/trucks, equipment, and work sites
  • Exercise extreme caution near or around any utility facility and follow all applicable job site safety parameters
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent/GED preferred
  • Basic computer skills and capacity to learn and understand new software
  • Valid driver's license with approved/acceptable driving history required
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • Ability to carry and lift equipment as needed
