JOB OVERVIEW:

Effectively executes responsibilities essential for safeguarding company assets and personnel while supporting production and operational goals. Coordinates emergency response and crisis management while ensuring access control for all individuals and vehicles.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manages access control for all individuals and vehicles entering the premises, processing employees, contractors, vendors, and visitors in accordance with established protocols.
  • Records and monitors the entry/exit of all delivery vehicles, overseeing product shipments and arrivals. Monitors communication systems, including telephones, radios, CCTV, fire alarms, and security notifications, facilitating emergency response and coordination of security personnel.
  • Implements checklists, Standard Operating Procedures, and Crisis Management Plans, coordinating the response of safety, maintenance, and key personnel, including local emergency response agencies during critical situations.
  • Operates a marked security patrol vehicle.
  • Conducts proactive vehicle and foot patrols of the facilities, ensuring the safety and security of personnel, property, and products while remaining vigilant for theft, intrusion, and unsafe conditions.
  • Responds to fire, intrusion, and duress alarms, taking appropriate measures to resolve situations.
  • Performs fire control and preventive inspections, routine security checks, parking enforcement, and traffic management. Provides assistance and customer service to employees and departments as needed.
  • Prepares and maintains security reports and documentation for both routine and emergency incidents. Keeps records, files, and processes individual documents.
  • Participates in special security events and assignments. Carries out additional duties and responsibilities as required or assigned.
  • Works overtime as necessary as directed by management.
  • Maintains individual Guard Card certifications and responsibilities.
  • This job description reflects management's assignment of essential functions; it does not prescribe or restrict the tasks that may be assigned.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 3 years of experience in security, military, or law enforcement roles.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record.
  • Strong communication skills are essential for effective interaction with drivers, customers, and other personnel.
  • Ability to engage with all levels of internal and external stakeholders, fostering positive working relationships.
  • Basic computer and CCTV operation skills are necessary.
  • Must be able to read, interpret, and communicate company policies and instructions effectively.
  • Knowledge of crisis management protocols and the ability to respond to alarms and emergencies is required.
  • Current BSIS Guard Card certification and completion of 32-hour training certificates are mandatory.
  • Uniform wear is required.
  • Must be able to operate a two-way radio and utilize cellular and other communication devices.
  • Basic computer skills are necessary.
  • Flexibility to work all shifts is required.
  • Must be available for overtime on short notice.
