- Book surgeries with hospitals and surgical centers, adhering to facility guidelines and protocols.
- Schedule pre-operative, post-operative, and other necessary appointments as designated by providers.
- Provide patients with clear and concise surgical instructions, ensuring they understand their responsibilities and expectations.
- Communicate patients' financial responsibilities and secure prepayment or arrange financial agreements as needed.
- Obtain necessary pre-operative documentation for surgery and provide it to facilities.
- Act as a liaison between patients, precertification teams, and surgical facilities, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and visitors, demonstrating professionalism and empathy.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to all relevant policies and procedures.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; 1+ years of scheduling experience in a medical practice environment preferred.
- Intermediate computer proficiency, including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Experience working with electronic health records (EHRs) and medical terminology a plus.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
