Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse at Putnam Hospital Center is responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing patient care in the Emergency Department. This includes ensuring quality care is provided in an efficient and safe manner, consistent with the department's standards of care and the Standards of Emergency Nursing Practice.
The ideal candidate will have a graduate degree from an accredited nursing program and a current license as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York. Additionally, they will have at least one year of medical/surgical nursing experience and current knowledge and skills appropriate to the age/type of patient population served.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and implement patient care in the Emergency Department
- Ensure quality care is provided in an efficient and safe manner
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care
- Develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Monitor and evaluate patient outcomes
Requirements:
- Graduate degree from an accredited nursing program
- Current license as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York
- At least one year of medical/surgical nursing experience
- Current knowledge and skills appropriate to the age/type of patient population served
Working Conditions:
The Registered Nurse will work in a fast-paced Emergency Department environment, with significant exposure to dirt, odors, noise, human waste, etc. They will be required to exert up to 50 lbs and work in a manual role with significant manual skills/motor coordination and finger dexterity.
Salary Range:
$43.57-$66.13 Hourly
