The successful candidate can expect an annual salary of around $115,000, with opportunities for comprehensive benefits and a competitive compensation package. The position offers a day shift schedule with occasional evenings and weekends.

Job Description

As a Prenatal Care Specialist, you will be responsible for providing medical care and education to obstetrical patients, delivering babies, and maintaining required protocols. You will work closely with and report to our Site Medical Director, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides medical care and education to obstetrical patients
  • Delivers babies and assists in the maintenance of required protocols
  • Works closely with and reports to Site Medical Director

You will have the opportunity to participate in initial examinations, assign responsibility for care and treatment, and instruct patients in prenatal and postnatal health practices. Additionally, you may conduct classes for groups of patients and families, provide training in midwifery and women's health, and represent the provider staff at local organizations.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must possess a graduate degree from an accredited school of nursing and nurse midwife program or Women's Health Nurse Practitioner program. You should also hold current/active Indiana registered nurse license, certification as a Nurse Midwife or Nurse Practitioner by the state of Indiana, prescriptive authority, DEA certification, and current CPR certification.

Minimum of one year of experience as a midwife or Women's Health Nurse Practitioner is required. Your ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and adapt to changing situations will be essential to your success.
