Family Dental Care - Part-Time Licensed Hygienist Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated part-time licensed hygienist to join our team at Family Dental Care in Valparaiso, IN.

Family Dental Care is a unique and dynamic dental practice that prides itself on providing exceptional patient care and fostering a collaborative and fun work environment.

Job Summary:

This part-time position involves working Thursdays and Fridays, with a flexible schedule and competitive pay. As a part of our team, you will have the opportunity to develop your clinical skills, provide preventative care, and maintain patients' dental health.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide dental hygiene services to patients, including cleanings, screenings, and education
  • Collaborate with doctors and other staff members to ensure seamless patient care
  • Maintain accurate medical and dental records
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities

Requirements:

  • Current dental hygienist license in Indiana
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in dental hygiene (where required)
  • Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, and medical history documentation
  • CPR Certification

Preferred Qualifications:

  • New graduates welcome to apply
  • Experience with Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays, and electronic medical record systems
  • Desire to continue learning and growing clinical skills

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting and standing
  • Lifting and carrying up to 45 pounds as needed
  • Availability for virtual training sessions
