Our commitment is to exceed the expectations of our clients and their beloved pets. Our team comprises Certified Veterinary Technicians and proficient Veterinary Assistants.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assess animal needs through history intake, reviewing care plans and medical records, conducting laboratory tests, and performing diagnostic imaging.
- Administer care to patients by monitoring vital signs, collecting samples, providing medications, and managing wound care.
- Assist in patient examinations and surgical procedures by preparing necessary supplies, escorting patients to examination areas, and ensuring proper restraint.
- Process prescriptions and manage medication administration, ensuring accurate documentation and security of controlled substances.
- Uphold a safe and humane environment by adhering to established standards and legal regulations.
- Maintain accurate medical records by documenting patient conditions, responses, and updates in a timely manner.
- Demonstrate proficiency in procedures such as catheter placement, phlebotomy, emergency care, and digital radiography.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma, GED, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A minimum of two years of experience in veterinary settings performing the aforementioned duties.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds, cleaning, and maintaining constant activity.
- Comfortable working with sick animals and potentially hazardous materials, including cleaning agents and anesthetics.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
