Position Summary

Pacific Northern Environmental LLC, through its division Cowlitz Clean Sweep (CCS), is in search of a dedicated CDL Class B Hazmat Driver. This role is ideal for individuals who excel in dynamic team settings and are committed to delivering outstanding service to our organization, clients, and fellow team members.

PNE LLC encompasses several divisions, including Advanced Electrical Technologies (AET), Cowlitz Clean Sweep (CCS), Pacific Northern Environmental Construction (PNEC), and WasteXpress Environmental (WXE). Collectively, we focus on commercial and petroleum construction, industrial and commercial electrical services, industrial cleaning, and hazardous waste management. Our operations span multiple states.

CCS specializes in industrial cleaning and spill response for numerous pulp and paper mills across the Pacific Northwest, in addition to servicing major oil corporations and a diverse array of manufacturing and industrial clients. Our proven track record demonstrates our capability to tackle large-scale and intricate industrial cleaning projects on time, within budget, and adhering to the highest industrial health and safety standards. No job is too big or too small for CCS.

Key Responsibilities

The CDL B Hazmat Driver will be responsible for the safe transportation of hazardous materials and other substances from job sites to designated disposal facilities. This position requires active collaboration with the field team.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Valid Driver's License is mandatory.
  • Possession of a valid Class B CDL, Tanker endorsement, and Hazmat endorsement is required.
  • 2-3 years of experience operating DOT-regulated vehicles is essential.
  • Experience with Hazmat materials is highly preferred.

Essential Duties

  • Operate truck controls to manage and reposition vacuum hoses while using a vacuum truck.
  • Adhere to all company safety protocols and comply with all laws, rules, and regulations while driving.
  • Conduct DOT-required pre and post-trip inspections, completing necessary documentation as required.
  • Operate a box van equipped with a lift gate for the pickup and delivery of drums.
  • Follow daily instructions from dispatch or supervisory personnel.
  • Load, unload, and set up vacuum hoses at job sites when operating the vacuum truck.
  • Report any accidents or injuries and complete accident report forms as necessary.
  • Ensure all loads are secured before driving and maintain safety during transit.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

Candidates must be capable of:

  • Moving around the job site as required.
  • Handling work-related equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Remaining stationary for extended periods.
  • Utilizing various technological devices, including computers.
  • Operating machinery in accordance with safety protocols.
  • Occasionally climbing ladders and stairs.
