Job Overview

Join the Carson Oil Company team as a full-time Bulk Lubricant Transport Specialist in Portland.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate a truck and trailer to collect products from vendor facilities.
  • Unload products into bulk storage tanks at the distribution center.
  • Transport bulk lubricants from vendor locations to various branches.
  • Deliver lubricants throughout the Portland region.
  • Conduct thorough pre and post-trip vehicle inspections.
  • Safely navigate delivery vehicles, both loaded and unloaded.
  • Plan and adhere to efficient delivery routes.
  • Provide professional and courteous service to all customers.
  • Organize and complete daily pickup and delivery documentation.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Learn and maintain all processes related to the position, including scheduling and paperwork.
  • Report to work punctually as scheduled.
  • Be a reliable team member, completing tasks accurately and thoroughly.
  • Foster a collaborative environment with colleagues and other departments.
  • Uphold a high standard of customer service and a friendly workplace atmosphere.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Must possess a Class A license.
  • Hazmat endorsement is beneficial but not mandatory.
  • Hold a valid DOT medical certificate.

Work Environment/Physical Requirements

  • Regularly required to use hands for handling objects and controls; reach with hands and arms; and utilize smell.
  • Required to stand, walk, sit, and communicate effectively.
  • Occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
