Position Overview:

The role of the Registered Nurse in the Medical Neurology Intensive Care Unit (E4) involves delivering comprehensive patient care to individuals in critical condition. This unit is dedicated to providing specialized care for patients with a range of neurological and medical conditions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Intensive Care environment.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and document patient data accurately.
  • Develop and implement individualized Plans of Care (POC) in collaboration with the healthcare team.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Educate patients and their families regarding treatment plans and discharge processes.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
  • Support and mentor nursing students and less experienced staff, fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and participate in research opportunities.
Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program with a degree in nursing.
  • Possession of a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • A minimum of one year of nursing experience in a clinical setting.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Basic proficiency in computer skills.
  • Commitment to ethical practice and accountability in nursing.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing.
  • Two or more years of nursing experience, particularly in an acute care environment.
  • Experience in oncology nursing.
  • National nursing certification in a relevant specialty.
