Dish/Pot Washer

Job Summary:
The Dish/Pot Washer is a vital member of our kitchen team, responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary environment for food preparation and service. This role requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate the dish machine, ensuring it is set up and broken down correctly, and reporting any defects or issues to the Unit/Food Service Manager.
- Wash and store all dishes, trays, utensils, cups, and small equipment for the department.
- Set up pot and pan washing, rinsing, and sanitizing sinks, and wash and store pots and pans in a sanitary manner.
- Check the sanitizing sink with test strips to ensure proper solution mix, and maintain a clean and organized dish room area.
- Remove all trash from the kitchen and dish room, and dispose of it properly.
- Sweep and mop floors daily as assigned, and assist in floor cleaning as directed by the Manager in other areas.
Requirements:
- Must be able to work at a moderate to fast pace.
- Occasional sitting, constant standing, frequent walking, occasional bending, occasional lifting up to 50 lbs, occasional carrying with both hands up to 50 lbs.
- Constant reaching, handling, finger dexterity, and feeling.
- Constant communication skills using the spoken word, constant hearing ability, constant far vision, constant close vision, constant color vision, constant depth perception, and constant ability to adjust focus.
- Occasional exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity or extremes thereof, occasional work near moving mechanical parts, moderate noise level.
Salary: $15.50
