Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team at SSM Health. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with patient examinations and treatments under the supervision of a registered nurse or provider.
  • Interview patients, take vital signs, and record information on patient charts.
  • Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations and maintain a clean and organized environment.
  • Perform basic clerical duties, including answering phones, maintaining records, and scheduling patients.
  • Assist with ordering and stocking of supplies and perform basic materials management functions.
  • Transcribe patient orders, including laboratory tests, radiology tests, and medications.
  • Work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • No experience required, but prior experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • One of the following certifications: Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Clinical Medical Assistant Certification (CMAC), Medical Assistant (RMA), Medical Assistant Certification (MAC), National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA), Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA).
