Medical Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at SSM Health. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities- Assist with patient examinations and treatments under the direction of a registered nurse or provider.
- Interview patients, measure vital signs, and record information on patients' charts.
- Prepare treatment rooms for examination of patients.
- Perform basic clerical duties, including answering the phone, maintaining records, scheduling patients, and filing.
- Assist with maintaining a clean and orderly environment.
- Document the provider's encounter with patients, including diagnoses, symptoms, and follow-up instructions.
- Transcribe patient orders, including laboratory tests, radiology tests, and medications.
- High School diploma or equivalent required; 10 years of work experience may be substituted in lieu of education.
- No experience required.
This role requires constant standing and walking, frequent use of hearing and speech, and occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
