Position Summary

As a faculty member, you will educate college students utilizing established educational theories and methodologies. You will be responsible for developing curriculum related to your discipline, evaluating student performance, participating in program assessments, engaging in college activities, and serving on various committees. It is essential to uphold the standards of the college and department in alignment with the institution's mission and strategic objectives.

As a tenure-track faculty member, you will be on a path toward a continuing contract. Faculty members are expected to teach a designated number of points, maintain office hours, and participate in college business hours, which may include committee work, meetings, and special projects.

Tenure-track professors at Palm Beach State must successfully complete a five-year process to secure continued employment.

Qualifications

We invite candidates who possess the following qualifications:
  • A Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Business, Marketing, or Management, or a Master's degree with 18 graduate semester hours in the aforementioned fields.
  • Flexibility to work varied schedules, including evenings and weekends, and potentially across multiple campuses.
  • Recognized teaching and professional experience.
  • Proficiency in utilizing technology in the classroom; candidates must be adept with the technological tools required for their courses.
  • Demonstrated cultural competency to effectively engage with a diverse student and employee population.

Additional Information

For positions requiring a college degree, Palm Beach State College recognizes degrees from institutions accredited by one of the seven regional accrediting organizations. Degrees obtained from international institutions must be validated by a member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES). An evaluation report must be submitted prior to the application closing date.

Compensation and Benefits

The minimum base salary for this role starts at $50,000 annually; however, the final offer may differ based on the candidate's qualifications and experience.
