Job Summary
Niagara Bottling is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Operations Manager to lead our Aseptic Batching Department. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our aseptic batching area, meeting established safety, quality, and production goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Department Leadership
- Manage and direct the activities of the aseptic batching department, ensuring product quality and safety while maintaining proper operating procedures.
- Collaborate with the production and planning department to create production schedules that meet internal and external needs.
- Establish and adjust work procedures and schedules to meet production plan.
- Quality and Safety
- Ensure team members follow all Standard Sanitary Operating Procedures (SSOPs) in compliance with aseptic principles and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain quality standards of all products to ensure food safety and quality that meets expected shelf life.
- Team Management
- Provide direction to supervisors on team member coaching and development, employment decisions, and resolving issues through conflict resolution.
- Hire, train, coach, and review performance of team members and supervisors.
- Process Improvement
- Analyze and submit reports for batching yields, system processes, attendance, overtime, and quality checks to the APD and Plant Director.
- Collaborate with department leadership to plan preventative maintenance on production lines.
- Develop, recommend, and implement measures to improve production batching methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
- Communication and Collaboration
- Collaborate with multiple departments within the organization to ensure customer deadlines are met.
- Interface with System Engineers, R&D, and commercialization on aseptic process improvements.
Requirements
- Minimum 6 years of experience in aseptic field or similar manufacturing environment.
- Understanding of aseptic production processes and controls.
- Food processing experience in an aseptic manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrate functional and technical knowledge of the aseptic process.
Preferred Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in aseptic field or similar manufacturing environment.
