Job Summary

This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies in the U.S. Marine Corps. Key Responsibilities
  • Perform minor construction and repair on the interior and exterior of buildings.
  • Locate and make repairs to plumbing, including sections of broken pipe, water heaters, disposal, pipes, faucets, and shower drains.
  • Complete painting duties by preparing surfaces, mixing and preparing coating material, and applying coating materials.
  • Utilize safety practices and procedures following established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean work environment.

This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is: the ability to do the work of the position without normal supervision performing common tasks including performing carpentry, plumbing, and painting worker duties in the installation, modification, and repair of buildings, structures, and other construction projects.

This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Several vacancies may be filled. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if the selectee fails to meet the pre-employment requirements, including failure to report to any of the scheduled appointments.
