Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at Elbit Systems of America. As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of quality in our manufactured products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough inspections of in-process and completed products to ensure compliance with work instructions, drawings, and technical documentation packages.
  • Perform special inspections of developmental and prototype parts, requiring a high degree of complexity and technical expertise.
  • Inspect incoming materials and perform source inspections prior to material receipt, ensuring that all materials meet our quality standards.
  • Collaborate with engineers and vendor/customer representatives to evaluate parts and assemblies, identify causes of non-conformances, and implement corrective actions.
  • Assist engineering personnel in reviewing and developing inspection methods and procedures, ensuring that they are aligned with industry standards and best practices.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to eliminate defects, reduce routine inspection time, and improve overall efficiency.
  • Perform mechanical inspection operations using standard gages and tooling, including inspections to contract specifications and established quality standards.
  • Work from blueprints, engineering prototype drawings, customer specifications, and written and verbal instructions to certify conformance to size, form, finish, and workmanship.
  • Develop, set up, maintain, and operate a wide variety of mechanical, optical, and electrical inspection equipment.
  • Perform First Article Inspection or Test, including required forms and records.
  • Participate as a member of assigned factory Integrated Product Teams, ensuring that quality is integrated into all aspects of our manufacturing process.
  • Function as delegated or designated inspector on behalf of customers, ensuring that our quality standards are met and exceeded.
  • Assist with internal audits and support external third-party or customer audits, ensuring that our quality management system is compliant with industry standards.
Requirements
  • High School diploma and two years of post-high school technical education providing knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, and/or machine shop practice; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 6+ years of experience in inspection, with a strong background in quality assurance and control.
  • Exposure to ISO standards and preferably AS9100 and AS9102 standards is desirable.
