Position Overview
As a Quality Assurance Software Engineer, you will integrate your extensive technical expertise in automated testing with a solid understanding of business operations and data evaluation. Within an agile framework, you will collaborate with team leaders to implement automated testing solutions and perform manual testing to enhance testing efficiencies, thereby supporting the team in developing highly reliable applications that fulfill business requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Designing and sustaining automated test suites to evaluate product quality and readiness for release.
- Providing training to teams on test management practices.
- Working alongside the team to enhance test coverage and overall application performance.
- Conducting manual testing as necessary.
Required Expertise and Skills
- 5+ years of experience in software product development, particularly with commercially available software.
- 3+ years of relevant technical experience in test automation.
- Demonstrated experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Proficient in testing processes and automation techniques.
- Experience in financial services and agile environments is preferred.
- A Bachelor’s degree or higher is mandatory.
- Hands-on experience with developing and maintaining testing frameworks such as Junit, Cucumber, and Fitnesse.
- Intermediate proficiency in Java.
- Strong understanding of web services testing.
- SQL skills are essential.
- Ability to analyze data and troubleshoot technical issues.
- Focus on enhancing testing efficiencies to boost agility and expedite business value delivery.
- Promote robust quality practices and encourage the team to prioritize quality in every sprint.
- Commitment to continuously improving the stability and resilience of critical business processes and applications.
Team Dynamics
In the Test Engineering Chapter, we collaborate closely with team leaders and members aligned with various product areas to advocate for testing best practices, implement automated testing, and conduct testing in support of technology-driven initiatives.
