Position Summary:

Key Responsibilities
  1. Conduct software testing to ensure stability, usability, precision, accuracy, and reliability.
  2. Develop and uphold testing strategies; create test abstracts, test cases, and plans for regression and functional testing of software products.
  3. Collaborate closely with project team members, including software engineers, throughout the software development lifecycle to implement the software testing strategy by drafting test plans, executing tests, and compiling test reports.
  4. Engage in product meetings during the development process to contribute to the delivery of a high-quality product.
  5. Employ project planning and monitoring techniques to guarantee timely project completion.
  6. Document issues via the defect tracking system, detailing failures and reproduction steps. Validate code fixes and approve resolutions.
  7. Analyze testing outcomes and prepare Software Quality Engineer summary reports.
  8. Ensure compliance of software utilized in the development and manufacturing of medical devices with ISO13485, the QSR, and KMC Quality Procedures.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proven experience in test case creation and development.
  • Experience in conducting engineering tests and formal verification testing.
  • Ability to generate project documentation for testing purposes.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Solid understanding of QA processes and methodologies within a software development context.
  • Familiarity with the Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Experience with defect management and test management tools.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, independent, and collaborative environment.
  • Effective communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience in a regulated environment is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of Risk Management and Risk Analysis processes is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Scrum/Agile development methodologies is beneficial.
  • Experience with Jira/DevOps or similar Agile process tools is a plus.
