Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Sprinkler Sales Project Manager - Estimator to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for estimating new construction projects and upgrades to existing fire sprinkler systems, developing and growing a customer base, and performing preliminary design and calculations for bid estimates.
Key Responsibilities
- Estimate new construction projects and upgrades to existing fire sprinkler systems
- Develop and grow a customer base through persuasion and relationship management skills
- Perform preliminary design and calculations for bid estimates
- Prepare pricing for materials, labor, freight, and fabrication
- Seek out competitive vendors and services to ensure competitive bids
- Prepare scope and quotation letters for customers
- Maintain monthly estimate logs
- Meet with management to discuss current estimating backlog and due dates
- Participate in turnover meetings as required
- Assist with follow-up information with customers as requested
Requirements
- Five-plus years of fire protection contracting experience
- Design, sales, project management, or field experience
- Prior experience in bidding work and a strong understanding of estimating
- Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
