We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sheet Metal Fabrication Supervisor to join our team at TRUMPF Group. As a key member of our fabrication department, you will be responsible for overseeing the production process, ensuring quality and productivity, and leading a team of skilled technicians.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and coordinate the activities of fabrication department personnel, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Monitor and control production schedules, workflow, and resource allocation to meet quality and productivity targets.
- Develop and implement process improvements, lean initiatives, and 5S schedules to optimize department efficiency.
- Collaborate with the quality control team to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations.
- Manage staff scheduling, training, and development, including rotations, employee vacations, and back-up for absent employees.
- Forecast departmental requirements for staffing, training, and equipment.
- Assist in the hiring process for department personnel.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing supervisory position, preferably in a similar industry.
- Familiarity with TRUMPF products and technology is an asset.
- Strong project management and SYNCHRO skills, with experience in lean improvement efforts.
- Knowledge of SAP or other MRP systems is a plus.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Minimum 4-year technical degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
