Position Overview:

Simpson Judge Ltd is seeking a distinguished Partner to enhance our esteemed legal team. The successful candidate will possess a significant book of business (minimum $800K) in one or more of the following practice areas: Insurance Recovery, Commercial Litigation, or Corporate and Finance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Management & Development: Utilize your established client relationships to sustain and expand your book of business. Generate new business opportunities through networking, client referrals, and active industry participation.
  • Legal Expertise: Deliver high-level legal advice in your specialty, ensuring client satisfaction and successful outcomes. Address complex legal issues with a strategic and solution-focused mindset.
  • Team Leadership: Guide and nurture junior attorneys and support personnel. Collaborate with fellow partners and departments to offer comprehensive legal services to our clients.
  • Strategic Growth: Play a vital role in the firm’s overall growth and strategic direction, including identifying new practice areas or markets and engaging in firm-wide initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: At least 10 years of legal practice with a proven history in Insurance Recovery, Commercial Litigation, or Corporate and Finance.
  • Client Book: A portable and verifiable book of business valued at $800K or more.
  • Education: JD from an accredited law school and active membership in the New York State Bar.
  • Skills: Strong business development capabilities, excellent legal insight, and a collaborative approach. Ability to manage complex and high-stakes matters with professionalism and confidence.
